Shobana Ram is a NY-based classical Indian dancer, vocalist, and K-12 Arts Educator. Whether performing Bharata Natyam or south Indian vocals, or teaching in K-12 settings, Shobana strives to transmit a sense of grace, poise and passion for the arts and arts-based learning.

As a former elementary classroom teacher, I strive to use my rich experience in lesson planning and classroom management to successfully integrate the arts into academic areas such as language arts/ literacy, social studies and science. I have experience in differentiating instruction for all levels and love to tap into the creative potential of special needs learners in every setting.
